\r\nInnis Davis and three of the children in his family who help with his\r\nvery large backyard garden on Cherry Street, Valdosta.\r\n<\/td><\/tr><\/table>\r\nWith a combined 150+ years of experience as growers, these veggie\r\nveterans will interact with members of the audience sharing their\r\nstories which include the following: planting, harvesting, and\r\npreserving by the moon; rotating crop sites; fertilizing;\r\ncontrolling weeds and insects; saving seed for 50+ years; growing in\r\ncontainers; and using their talents and techniques of growing to\r\nhelp friends and 3 generations of family. Serving as a moderator for\r\nthis discussion will be Diane Howard who works closely with\r\nindividuals in South Georgia to promote growing their own food and\r\noversees a large garden on her 5th generation family farm in Grady\r\nCounty.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\n\r\nValdosta Daily Times<\/a>\r\n<\/td><\/tr><\/table>\r\nRev. Albert D. Barner grew up on a farm in North Carolina and moved to\r\nValdosta about 40 years ago where he continued to farm, work at\r\nUnion Camp, and pastor St. Timothy AME Church.\r\n

\r\nMrs. Theresa T. Clark from\r\nLowndes County is employed at the Department of Health and is a\r\nmember of Newsome Street Church of Christ in Hahira.\r\n

\r\nMr. Innis L. Davis, Sr., a\r\nnative of Valdosta, is retired from Union Camp and an active\r\ncommunity member and deacon of First Antioch Baptist Church.\r\nCombined these three speakers have 150+ years of experience growing\r\nand sharing their techniques with family and friends.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n
