\r\nWhat the U.S. Department of Agriculture is doing about rural Georgia:\r\nBryan Zulko will talk about that at\r\n\r\nSouth Georgia Growing Local 2014<\/a>:\r\n

\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nI will go over a few initiatives I am currently working on,\r\nspecifically the\r\n\r\nStrikeForce Initiative<\/a>\r\n(persistent poverty 60 counties),\r\n\r\nSET (Stronger Economies Together)<\/a>,\r\nand the significance of\r\n\r\nRHIT (Rural Health Information Technology)<\/a>.\r\nIn the 2nd part I will be discussing some of our\r\nfunding programs,\r\nfocusing on\r\nRural infrastructure, local foods, downtown development, and essential\r\ncommunity facilities.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\n\r\n\r\nA native Texan, BJZ was raised in a small rural town in Deep East\r\nTexas. Always remembering his rural roots, Bryan continues to\r\ntirelessly advocate for rural communities all across the state of\r\nGeorgia. Currently\r\n\r\na Management Analyst for the United States\r\nDepartment of Agriculture<\/a>, Bryan serves as Rural Development’s lead\r\nfor Secretary Vilsack’s\r\n\r\nStrikeForce Initative<\/a>, an USDA initiative\r\nwhich focuses on the eradication of persistent poverty and the\r\ncreation of robust, thriving\r\nrural communities. With this position,\r\nBryan has been afforded the honor of not just traveling through, but\r\n\r\ngetting his hands dirty<\/a> with community leaders in over 70 counties.\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nFollowing graduation from Texas State University with a degree in\r\nInternational Relations, Bryan began his career in the world of\r\npolitics. Beginning in the Foreign Policy office of the late great\r\nSenator Ted Kennedy, Bryan later worked as a Regional Field Director\r\nfor the DNC, Field Representative for Congressman Sanford D. Bishop,\r\nand as Director of Field Operations in Congressman Bishop’s\r\nmiraculous win during the Republican Typhoon of 2010. Throughout the\r\nyears, Bryan has held various leadership positions and active\r\nmemberships in organizations such as The Fellowship of Christian\r\nAthletes, Kiwanis Club, Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Club,\r\nNAACP and the NRA. In addition, Bryan was a 2010 graduate of the\r\nCongressional Black Caucus Political Institute.\r\n

\r\nUltimately a\r\nself-proclaimed Idealist without illusions, BJZ hopes to one day be\r\nconsidered the Leonardo da Vinci of Rural Renaissance.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n
