\r\nJohn S. Quarterman grows pine trees and vegetables on the same south\r\nGeorgia land he grew up on,\r\nwith his wife Gretchen, as\r\n\r\nOkra Paradise Farms<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nPartly due to a REAP grant from USDA, they have\r\n\r\n15 kilowatts of solar panels on the farm workshop roof<\/a>.\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nHe recognizes in the exponential growth of solar\r\npower the same phenomenon he chronicled twenty years ago\r\nin the growth of the Internet.\r\nThe same Moore’s Law that brought us growth like compound interest\r\nin integrated circuits, computers, the Internet, mobile phones,\r\nand now smart phones, is also bringing us exponential deployment\r\nof solar power,\r\n\r\nso fast your jaw may drop<\/a>.\r\nIn about a decade,\r\n\r\nsolar will overtake everything<\/a>,\r\nproducing more power than any other source in the U.S.\r\n\r\nSolar power will win like the Internet did<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nHe helps to apply it\r\n\r\nto rural jobs, lower electric bills, and profit\r\nfor farmers<\/a>.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n
