Clothianidin is a neonicotinoid insecticide that is both\npersistent and systemic. Acute toxicity studies to honey bees show that\nclothianidin is highly toxic on both a contact and an oral basis. Although\nEFED does not conduct RQ based risk assessments on non-target insects,\ninformation from standard tests and field studies, as well as incident\nreports involving other neonicotinoids insecticides (e.g., imidacloprid)\nsuggest the potential for long-term toxic risk to honey bees and other\nbeneficial insects.\n<\/blockquote>\n
\nHere’s <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.panna.org\/sites\/default\/files\/Memo_Nov2010_Clothianidin.pdf\">the\nleaked document (PDF).<\/a>\n
\n-jsq\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Susie Madrak writes in Crooks and Liars, Leaked Document: EPA Scientists Warned Of Bee-Toxic Pesticide.
