\nThis beaver is not captive.\nIt crawled into this mud pit of its own volition.\nLittle does it know that without rain the pit will dry up in a week.\nAnd the dogs use it as their play pit.\nBut the beaver can walk away any time the dogs are not there, which is frequently.\nIt chooses to stay.\nFor now.\n
