\nIt was a nice Prunus serotina<\/em>, but it would not survive like that, \n \nFortunately, it did not actually puncture the roof.<\/p>\n \n \nI do not like climbing on roofs. \n \nMy little finger is a sixteen-foot cypress pole from our cypress swamp. \n \nThere was a log more sawing to cut the top down to bits to toss aside \n \nI was using an EGO electric \n \nIf you want some nice 10-12-inch cherry logs for woodworking, let us know.<\/p>\n \n \nGrapevines and smilax vines took the most time.<\/p>\n \n \nAlmost done with the main trunk.<\/p>\n \n \nNaturally the big piece leaned against the corn crib. \n \nThere was more to do on the ground to get the bits out of the way.<\/p>\n \n \nAnd the boat rack was for another day.<\/p>\n \n \n -jsq<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Yet another clearing task after Hurricane Helene: get that cherry tree off the corn crib roof.
