Permaculture –Ben and Jennifer Vieth

The Vieths will talk about gardens that continue to grow season after season, at South Georgia Growing Local 2014:

Permaculture is a regenerative and sustainable food production design system combining bio-mimicry with local food system knowledge. The scalability of permaculture lends itself applicable to everyone from beginner gardeners to seasoned farmers. Our presentation will focus on how we can apply permaculture principles to our homes and gardens, no matter the size of your space.

Their conference bios:

Jennifer Vieth has a B.F.A. in Interior Design from Valdosta State. She began gardening with her parents as a child and received her permaculture design certification in 2012. She is an independent contractor in the field of design with a specialty in edible landscaping.

Benjamin Vieth has a BA in anthropology and has been gardening for 4 years. While at VSU he was the president of the university’s organic garden, Blazer Gardens, and vice president of the horticulture club.
