This beaver has wandered into the dogs’ play pit.

This beaver is not captive. It crawled into this mud pit of its own volition. Little does it know that without rain the pit will dry up in a week. And the dogs use it as their play pit. But the beaver can walk away any time the dogs are not there, which is frequently. It chooses to stay. For now.
